Amanda Cabral

Amanda was the intake coordinator at Praxis for over three years, with the privilege is being most people’s first contact when reaching out for counseling. Amanda recognizes that for many, the idea of reaching out for mental health support is a huge step and can feel overwhelming. She loves being an encouragement to others as they find their own space to process their story.

Her hope is to create a supportive environment for clients of any stage of life to identify and create meaningful goals that support healing, personal growth, and greater emotional well-being. She incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), ACT and mindfulness into her care and offers counseling from a Christian faith perspective for those who desire to integrate spirituality.

Amanda has almost 10 years of experience working in church ministry prior to her role at Praxis.

Amanda and her husband have 3 kids. She loves exploring new places with her family and being at the beach.
