Frances B. Houston

Frances earned her Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University and holds both an undergraduate degree and a Master of Divinity from Boston University.

Frances is especially passionate about working with couples who desire to strengthen or rebuild their relationship. Whether couples are facing conflict, life transitions, or simply want to strengthen an already healthy relationship, Frances seeks to help them grow toward greater intimacy and resilience.

In addition to her work with couples, Frances enjoys counseling individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship concerns, and the unique challenges faced by pastors and ministry leaders. She understands the demands of vocational ministry and values providing a confidential space where ministry leaders can process the personal, relational, and emotional pressures that often accompany their calling.

Frances also brings valuable experience in addiction counseling. She is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC I) and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC). This background equips her to work with individuals and couples navigating the impact of addiction and recovery while fostering hope, healing, and healthy relationships.

Frances's faith has influenced her exploration of additional areas of clinical interest, including integrating spirituality and counseling to promote positive mental health outcomes. Her goal is to help individuals find health and wellness through a renewal of the mind, utilizing the theoretical perspective of cognitive therapy.

Frances enjoys cooking, walking, music, and spending time with her spouse, children, and grandchildren.
