Frederica Badoe
Frederica is a pre-licensed mental health therapist who earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Bridgewater State University and her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Her clinical experience spans a range of settings and includes working with children, teens, couples, and adults facing life challenges, mood disorders, anxiety, and co-occurring substance use concerns.
Frederica is passionate about working with teens and adults. She believes that individuals are deeply shaped by their environments and relationships, and that healing often requires attention to the full context of a person’s life including family systems, culture, and community.
Her therapeutic approach is integrative, grounded in multicultural awareness and trauma-informed care. She draws from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychoanalytic frameworks, and somatic-based techniques to support individuals as they navigate life’s challenges. With a holistic view of each person, Frederica believes that healing is most effective when the body, mind, and spirit are engaged in the therapeutic process.
She is committed to helping clients cultivate alignment between their thoughts, emotions, and actions across all areas of life. Frederica values the role that cultural, emotional, and spiritual identity can play in the healing journey and strives to create a therapeutic space rooted in empathy, respect, and compassion.
Outside of the therapy room, she loves traveling, creating new pieces in the pottery studio, reading good books, and spending time with loved ones.
