Iela comes to Praxis with an M.S. in Marriage & Family Therapy from Eastern Nazarene College and a B.A. in Business Administration & Outdoor Education from Gordon College. A New England native, Iela has been working for a MA faith based non-profit for the past six years called PAX where she also earned her certificates in spiritual direction and spiritual formation. She is passionate about caring for body, mind, and spirit together.

Iela desires to create space for you to feel heard, known, and seen without judgement or criticism. To leave room for emotions to be felt and expressed and to have a place where you can be fully yourself while also being gently challenged to grow into all that you desire to be. Iela works with all backgrounds and ages but has particular experience with high schoolers, college students, those in ministry, mothers, and people looking to process their faith as part of their therapy.

In her free time, you can find her walking in all types of weather, playing with her daughter and husband, reading fiction, dancing, or cross-country skiing when weather allows!
