Jessica Sullivan
Jess is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Licensed Mental Health Counseling at Bridgewater State University. She also works full-time in Human Resources with the National Guard. After returning home from an overseas deployment, she recognized the importance of and saw the need for culturally competent mental health care for service members. Jess also understands the complexity of the stigma surrounding mental health within the military.
Her areas of clinical interest include working with adults and adolescents, military personnel and first responders, as well as women during the pregnancy and postpartum period. Her counseling approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which recognizes the interconnected relationship between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. She believes meaningful change can occur through increased awareness of thought patterns and the development of individualized, healthy cognitive and behavioral skills. Jess emphasizes the importance of feeling safe, supported, and respected throughout the counseling journey.
Outside of the office, Jess enjoys spending time at the gym, running outdoors, and having fun with her husband and son. She has completed four half marathons, is a Level-2 CrossFit coach, and believes strongly in caring for physical health alongside mental health.
