Michael Hendricks

Michael Hendricks Sr. is a pre-licensed psychotherapist who holds a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Curry College. Bringing a compassionate heart and a deep passion for advocacy, Michael has over a decade of professional experience spanning clinical, educational, and nonprofit settings—empowering individuals navigating disabilities, mental health challenges, and diverse life transitions.

As a seasoned Job Development Specialist, Michael has spent more than 13 years guiding special education and transition students. His work seamlessly integrates therapeutic support with vocational training, helping young people build essential life skills, discover personal purpose, and thrive through career development.

An ordained minister, Michael serves as the Director of Family Ministries and Outreach at Motivation Church in Holbrook, MA. In this role, he blends his clinical insights with his spiritual calling to support families, develop community-facing programs, and foster meaningful connection and outreach across the region.

Deeply committed to service beyond the clinic, Michael is a devoted husband and father. Alongside his wife, Dima, he is a tireless advocate for the Sickle Cell community. In 2022, they co-founded #ThroughThePain Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing vital support services and raising awareness for Sickle Cell Warriors and their families. As a caregiver and advocate, Michael frequently speaks at national conferences, workshops, and podcast events, offering inspiration and grounded support to families across the country.

Michael’s mission is rooted in faith, family, and holistic service. Whether he is in the therapy room, leading ministry outreach, or at the front lines of community advocacy, his life’s work is dedicated to helping others rise, heal, and thrive through creativity, compassion, and authentic connection.
